Kierstyn’s favorite books right now are Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? She knows it by heart and she likes to “read it” to us!
Champ came to spend the whole day with us on Friday while mom was at work.
(I just realized he was putting his hands on her hair!)
It was Silas’ birthday last week, so we did a lot of fun things to celebrate. We usually try to spread the birthday fun over a week or so. This allows us to truly enjoy each activity and means the birthday person gets more congratulations!
D likes to sit and cuddle together every day. He is such a mother’s boy and it is the sweetest.
I went to a Mother’s Day brunch for adoptive parents at a local church and I was so grateful!
Weekend is baseball!
My mom and brother stopped by for hours on the way home from South Carolina on Saturday. They had to go to one of Silas’ games.
We went to Cracker Barrel on Sunday for Mother’s Day and Silas’ birthday. A restaurant where the whole family eats out after a long time!
Kierstyn especially enjoyed the gift shop!
Jesse and I went on a late night movie date for Mother’s Day after the kids went to sleep at night.
Silas and I went on a date for his birthday, which included Krispy Kreme donuts and Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
The laughter, giggles and joy our Sweet D brings to our house is captured in this photo!
He is officially a teenager… To be honest, I felt like he was a teenager for quite some time!
Silas, it’s a gift to your mom. I love our long conversations, your passion for life, and the hard (but so good!) questions you often ask.
I’ve seen you tense up a lot over the past year because you’ve taken on more responsibilities in different areas of your life. There were many difficult days, and sometimes it was frustrating and frustrating, but I watched him grow and mature during that time.
It was so much fun to observe your passion for baseball. And you are constantly teaching me new things about sports that I would never otherwise know!
It’s been great to see our YouTube channel grow strategically and purposefully this year. Your entrepreneurial spirit, your attention to detail, and your way of researching, learning and experimenting with new things are something many people lack innate talent. I can’t wait to see where it will take you in life!
I am so proud of you as a mother for your caring and compassion for your younger sisters, for always having your sister’s back, for not being afraid to stand up and do the right thing, even if others disagree with you. .
My prayer for you is that you continue to grow in your love for Jesus and others. God has given you many gifts and momentum in your life, and may you always use those gifts for the glory of God.
Even though I am 13 years old, I am so thankful that I am not too late to become my mother’s son. I love you so much and thank you so much for accepting me as my son!
